Yes, I Beleive One Can Have Too Many Rose Bushes

You might have too much money (and it’s most likely you did not pay the people who made you all that money anything close to what you should have) if you have a 4,600 square-foot “cottage” with a 13-acre garden that includes 1,500 rose bushes and you spend very little time there because the stamp mill that runs 24 hours a day at your nearby gold mine is simply too noisy. But, I am grateful that the California Department of Parks and Recreation eventually bought this land so I could enjoy this cool old greenhouse.
