Tread on Me

Clearly this is a highly functional item with specific design requirments: it needs to support multi-ton vehicles passing over while simultaneously letting water – and not too much of anything else – pass through. It must also not pose a tripping or ankle-twisting hazard. But does it have to be so beautiful? I don’t know, but I’m sure glad that it is.
