Switches and Routers and Wires, Oh My!
Completed in 1935 and originally designed to service 10,000 phone lines, the Telephone House was Northern Ireland’s first automated telephone exchange.
If you look closely between the window sets and between the columns, you’ll see a graphic motif in relief that will tell you just how fast these phone connections were intended to be.
