Spinning in Circles

As long as the sun is throwing light here, this scene – like all other sunlit scenes – changes continuously as this part of the earth glides past the sun at a little under 19 miles per second (factoring out the rotation of the earth, of course). I’m glad the earth was where it was when I pressed the shutter button here.
