New?

This building detail is from a Buckinghamshire New University building in Uxbridge, England. The university was established in 1891, which at first blush seems like a not-so-new university to me. But, there are plenty of universities operating today that are hundreds of years older – like Oxford and Cambridge, to name just two. And to be completely fair, this university didn’t change it’s name to “New University” until 2007, when it was granted University title.
