May Rain

A May rain turned my backyard into a floral wonderland. I love the tension between abstract art and representative art. For the representative side of this piece we might say to ourselves, “Oh, an iris,” and then subconsciously think and feel all of our iris thoughts and feelings. If we’re lucky, we can also experience some of the abstract side of this piece, and simply enjoy, get completely lost, or otherwise feel or think, something a little less tangible about this image.
