Grungy and Great
If it looks old, it is. The Great Portland Street Metro Station was part of the world’s first underground railway designated for carrying passengers – the Metropolitan Railway. It opened in 1863 – nine days after Abraham Lincoln sign the Emancipation Proclamation. Some may think it looks grungy; I find it absolutely beautiful.
