A Room With a View (of a Cat)

For three years, earlier this century, I lived alone in a small 2nd-floor apartment in Oak Park, Sacramento’s first and most beautiful suburb. I didn’t have any pets at the time, but occasionally I would be treated to this scene out my bedroom window.

It looks like my early-model phone camera wasn’t able to process the fine mesh of the window screen at some point (where it all turns smoothly fuzzy), but it’s about 8 feet across to the friendly neighborhood cat, and maybe 15 or so to the ground.

Does this image give you any feelings of vertigo, or is that just my memory of the place?
